Care and maintenance

Five minutes a week keeps the glass, the finish and the sensor like new.

Everyday cleaning

Warm water and a soft microfibre cloth handle almost everything. For toothpaste or soap marks, a drop of dishwashing liquid in the water is enough. Wipe dry so there are no streaks along the edge.

Why the edges matter

The silvering is sealed at the edge. Harsh cleaners creep under the seal over time and cause the dark spots you see on old mirrors. Our glass is copper-free to resist this, but gentle cleaning keeps it perfect.

LED and sensors

The LED strip is sealed behind the glass and needs no maintenance. If the touch sensor becomes less responsive, wipe the sensor area with a dry cloth. Fingerprints and moisture on the sensor are the usual cause.

Demister

On models with a demister, the pad sits behind the glass and switches with the light. It is normal for the centre of the mirror to feel slightly warm. Leave it on during a shower rather than switching it on after, so the glass never fogs in the first place.

Frames and finishes

Brushed gold and matte black finishes are powder-coated aluminium. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry. Do not polish, and do not use cleaners with citrus oils, which can dull the coating over time.
