LED mirror features

What makes a Crafted Fixtures mirror different, in four parts: glass, light, controls and fit.

The glass

Every mirror uses 5 mm copper-free silver glass. Ordinary mirrors are backed with copper, which is what corrodes into the dark spots you see at the edges of old bathroom mirrors. Ours skip it, so the edge stays clean for the life of the piece.

The light

Two kinds of light across the range. Backlit mirrors glow from behind the glass and wash the wall, which is soft and flattering. Front-lit mirrors put the light in front of the glass, which is brighter on the face for shaving and makeup.

Backlit

An even halo on the wall. Calm, soft light.

Front-lit

Brighter on the face, with three colour temperatures.

Touch controls

A single touch sensor on the glass switches the light, cycles the colour temperature on the front-lit pieces, and dims with a long press. Nothing to reach behind, nothing to replace.

Three colour temperatures

Warm 3000K for evenings, neutral 4000K for everyday, cool 6000K for daylight-accurate makeup. See the lighting options page.

Demister and fit

On the models with a demister, a pad behind the glass keeps the centre clear after a shower and switches on with the light. Every mirror hangs on a supplied bracket and comes with an Australian plug, and a licensed electrician can hardwire it if you prefer.
